My family and I have lived in the Kibworths since 1965. I was a District Councillor for the Kibworth ward for eight years, 1995 - 2003, during which I sat on Kibworth Beauchamp Parish Council and was Chairman for one year.
Having moved to Kibworth Harcourt I joined KHPC. I was Chairman of the JRC for three years and have been both Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Council.
After 13 years of resistance and public enquiry we are now faced with the significant housing development KB1. The disruption will be significant for some 5 - 10 years and the Parish Council will need to manage the situation with close co-operation from the builders as well as District and County Councils.
My commercial career spans 35 years senior management with Courtaulds. I am currently a director of a textile company based in Warrington.
